‘Lorne’ Trailer – Morgan Neville’s Documentary Reveals the Man Behind Saturday Night Live

Get a rare glimpse into the life and legacy of Lorne Michaels, the creator and longtime producer of Saturday Night Live, in the new documentary Lorne directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville.

Featuring candid interviews, exclusive archival footage, and reflections from some of the show’s most influential collaborators, the film includes appearances from Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, John Mulaney, Andy Samberg, Conan O’Brien, and Chris Rock.

The documentary pulls back the curtain on the quiet architect of one of television’s most influential comedy institutions and explores the enduring impact Michaels has had on entertainment and culture.

It arrives amid renewed interest in the legacy of Saturday Night Live following the show’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Lorne is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on April 17, 2026, via Focus Features.
