In The Invite, the marriage of Joe (played by Rogan) and Angela (Wilde) is on thin ice. When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbors (Cruz and Norton) for a dinner party, the night spirals into unexpected places. Have they reignited the spark or lit the match that burns it all down?

Written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, the film follows two very different couples whose lives collide during an unexpected night together.

Director and star Olivia Wilde is scheduled to appear in person to present the San Francisco-set story with an audience Q&A on the festival’s closing night.

The 52nd Seattle International Film Festival returns in person May 7-17, 2026 at SIFF Cinemas and venues throughout the city.
