
Celebrating its 15th edition, the 2024 DOC NYC will screen over 110 feature-length documentaries from November 13-21, 2024 at IFC Center, SVA Theatre, and Village East by Angelika in New York City, continuing online until December 1, 2024.

Based on the 1989 book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt, The Order is a crime-thriller helmed by Justin Kurzel (Macbeth, The Snowtown Murders) telling the true story of the 1983 series of crimes committed by a radical group of Neo-Nazis terrorists.

Helmed by two-time Emmy-winning director of Elton John: Never Too Late and Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, R.J. Cutler, “Martha” is a documentary centering on American businesswoman, media personality, and self-made billionaire Martha Stewart. The documentary features an in-depth interview with Stewart with the addition of voices of many of the most significant people from all different stages of her life.

The European Film Academy has unveiled the official nominees for the European Animated Feature Film category at this year’s European Film Awards. Chosen by a committee comprised of representatives of the European Film Academy and CARTOON, the European Association for Animation Film, five animated films have been chosen to compete in the category.

Agent of Happiness is a documentary following Amber Gurung, a Bhutanese ‘Happiness Agent’ tasked by the government to collect data on the citizens’ happiness for Bhutan’s Center for Gross National Happiness census.
