At the 61st Krakow Film Festival, on the June 1st, the Dragon of Dragon award will be given to Piotr Dumała, “the international master of animated film and the creator of original film techniques.” The 61st Krakow Film Festival will take place from May 30th to June 6th, 2021.

HBO will premiere The Day Sports Stood Still, a feature-length documentary that tells the story of the unprecedented sports shutdown in March of 2020 and the remarkable turn of events that followed. Emmy®-winning director Antoine Fuqua (HBO’s “What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali”) will chronicle the abrupt stoppage, athletes’ prominent role in the cultural reckoning on racial injustices that escalated during the pandemic and the complex return to competition in the summer and fall. The film debuts Wednesday, March 24 (9:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO.

IFC Films acquired the The Nowhere Inn, produced, written by, and starring Carrie Brownstein and Annie ‘St. Vincent’ Clark from first-time filmmaker and frequent Portlandia collaborator / writer Bill Benz. The film marks the first feature length film in which Clark has simultaneously produced, starred and composed all the original music.

IFC Films acquired Petra Epperlein and Michael Tucker’s documentary The Meaning of Hitler, a thought-provoking exploration of the lasting cultural fascination with the Nazi dictator and its resonance on present day politics. IFC Films will release the film later this year.
