Winner of the Documentary Director Award at the Sundance Film Festival—a second win for Almada in the same category after her 2009 documentary El General—Users opens Friday, June 9 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in New York City, and on Friday, June 16 at the Laemmle Glendale in Los Angeles, before expanding to other cities in North America.

NewFest, home to the celebrated LGBTQ+ film festival, announced the full lineup for their third annual NewFest Pride Summer Film Series. The event kicks off LGBTQ+ Pride Month from June 1 – 5, 2023 in New York, and will feature a mix of exclusive in-person premieres/panels, virtual screenings, and social events.
