The 59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival wrapped with the award ceremony, where Better Go Mad in the Wild directed by Miro Remo won the Grand Prix – Crystal Globe. The 2025 Palm Springs International ShortFest announced its Festival juried and audience award winners with Retirement Plan directed by John Kelly winning Best of the Festival Award.

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival has revealed the ‘secret’ twelfth film in the festival’s Crystal Globe Competition as the Iranian film Bidad. Originally kept secret and only identified as an Iranian film, it was not included in the original film competition lineup announcement to protect the safety of the film’s delegation.
