The USA Film Festival announces the full schedule of events for the 41st Annual USA Film Festival, April 27 – May 1, 2011 at the Angelika Film Center Dallas, Texas.

The 13th Annual Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival (MGLFF) returns to Miami-Dade County, Florida beginning April 21-May 1, 2011. The festival will feature more than 50 feature and short films from 15 countries with multiple screenings at the Colony Theater, Regal Cinemas South Beach, and Coral Gables Art Cinema.

The 2011 Fallbrook Film Festival had 68 films in competition; four were nominated for best of show in each category; and the following films were announced as award winners at the festival’s Gala at the Pala Casino Spa and Resort on Sunday.

“The Bad Penny,” a feature-length drama directed by Todd Bellanca, starring Tom Arnold and Bai Ling, received the Golden Palm Award at the 11th Annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival (BHFF) closing Gala Awards ceremony. The Audience Choice Award for Best Feature Film went to “The Chicago 8,” from writer/director Pinchas Perry, starring Danny Masterson, Gary Cole and Orlando Jones. The Jury Award for Best Feature Film went to “Polish Bar” from director Ben Berkowitz. “Polish Bar” star Judd Hirsch also won the prize for Best Actor. “Espera un Milagro,” a documentary from Spanish director Gemma Ventura also won two prizes for Best Director and Best Foreign Film.

The 13th Wisconsin Film Festival wrapped five days of screening 211 movies, presenting more than 120 filmmakers and special guests at the nine downtown Madison and campus theaters that opened their doors to 35,858 audience members.

The ninth annual Garden State Film Festival, announced its 2011 winners at its awards dinner Sunday. “Expecting Mary” was a big winner taking home both the Audience Choice award and the Bud Abbott Award for Feature-Length Comedy. The comedy-drama film directed by Dan Gordon and starring Elliott Gould and Linda Gray, tells the story of a pregnant young Mary, who has had all the trappings of an upscale life, but it’s only when she finds herself in a small New Mexico town, in a down-trodden trailer park, that she learns the real meaning of love, sacrifice and family.

The 2011 Fallbrook Film Festival will run April 8, 9 and 10 at the UltraStar Cinemas at River Village in Bonsall.

The Fort Myers Film Festival held March 24-27, 2011 announced its 2011 winners in the Documentary, Features, Shorts, Short Shorts, Strictly Local, Diverse/Latin and Faith & Inspirational categories.

The 16th Palm Beach International Film Festival held March 23 – 31, 2011, announced the festival jury winners and audience picks for best feature film, best documentary and best short film. The British film, ‘The First Grader’ took the top prize for best feature film, and ‘The Rescuers’ took the top prize for best documentary film.

The 2011 San Francisco International Women’s Film Festival runs April 6- April 10, 2011 at the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco.

The 10th Annual Tiburon International Film Festival (TIFF), is set for April 7-15, 2011 in Tiburon, California. TIFF will be showcasing over 140 films from 55 countries.
