Pamela Anderson will be honored with a Golden Eye Award at the 20th Zurich Film Festival, for her versatile career and her role in the film The Last Showgirl as Shelley, a 50-year-old showgirl who discovers her long-running show in coming to a close.

The 44th edition of the Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF) in Halifax, Nova Scotia announced its 2024 award winners. Sharp Corner won the Gordon Parsons Award for Best Atlantic Feature along with DGC Award for Best Atlantic Director for director Jason Buxton. In the thriller film based on the short story by Russell Wangersky, Ben Foster stars as Josh McCall, a man who becomes obsessed with saving car accident victims at the sharp road corner near his home.

For its 15th year, the Twin Cities Film Fest in Minnesota released its 2024 film slate of more than 140 movies set to screen October 17-26, 2024. More than 70 films will also simultaneously stream online via the TCFF STREAMS platform.

Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck wins the People’s Choice Award at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival which officially wrapped today with its annual awards. Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm) announced its official “Living Reel” Project’s 2024 film, a short music video and documentary in collaboration with Youth Villages and Moraine Music Group.

The 20th Zurich Film Festival will open with director Justin Kurzel’s political thriller The Order starring and produced by Jude Law, with his company Riff Raff. On the opening night on October 3, the festival will also award Law a prestigious Golden Eye Award for his remarkable performance and career.

The 55th Nashville Film Festival has added new films to the lineup, with “Saturday Night,” directed by Jason Reitman as the 2024 Centerpiece Presentation.
