The Boston Online Film Critics Association (BOFCA) awarded Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin, the top honor of Best Picture of 2022. The film also received Best Actor for Colin Farrell, Best Supporting Actress for Kerry Condon, and Best Screenplay for McDonagh.

Greenwich Entertainment revealed the official trailer for The Man in the Basement, the French psychological thriller starring Jérémie Renier and Bérénice Bejo as a French Jewish couple who sells their basement to a former teacher (François Cluzet), an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist. Also starring in the film are Jonathan Zaccaï, Victoria Eber, and Denise Chalem.

Filmmaker Luca Guadagnino will receive the International Icon Award at Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance on January 19 in Park City. Guadagnino will join previously announced honorees of the evening, Ryan Coogler, W. Kamau Bell, and Nikyatu Jusu. Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance will kick off the 2023 Sundance Film Festival by honoring inspiring and breakout storytellers whose journeys have been connected to Sundance throughout the years while raising funds and awareness for the Institute.
