The 2021 Tribeca Festival announced its 2021 Shorts Program lineup comprised of 64 short films “striking hopeful and optimistic tones from 20 countries worldwide.” World Premieres account for 70% of the competition slate, which is the highest percentage in Tribeca history. The short films will be presented in eight programs: two documentaries, two narratives, two hybrids (including both narrative and documentary), one animation, and one New York shorts program.

Apple will release the critically acclaimed, Sundance award-winning indie film “CODA” in theaters and on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 13, 2021.

An Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival, Spring Blossom is Suzanne Lindon’s directorial debut at nineteen, based on the screenplay she wrote at fifteen.

The 2021 Tribeca Festival unveiled its feature film lineup of 66 films from 81 filmmakers from across 23 different countries. The line-up includes 56 world premieres, 1 international premiere, 4 North American premieres, 1 U.S. premiere, and 4 New York premieres. The Festival’s 20th anniversary edition will run June 9-20 with live in-person events at outdoor venues across all New York City boroughs.

Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF) announced its 24th annual edition themed, “The Clearing.” BFF set to take place online via the festival website from June 4-13, and in-person at Windmill Studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, from June 5-13. The 2021 film lineup will include 140 film premieres, which will be viewable online 24/7, for the entire 10-day period. At Windmill Studios, BFF will screen a shorter version of the lineup, to create longer intermissions, and ultimately safer festival operations.

Directed by Christopher André Marks (Tiger Hood, 2015), the inspiring sports documentary film King Otto tells the story of the Greek National Football Team, that had never won a single match or even scored a goal in a major tournament, went on to win the European Championship led by legendary German football coach “King” Otto Rehhagel.

Metrograph Pictures released the official trailer for Sisters with Transistors, a new feature documentary portraying the iconic women who pioneered electronic music, opening nationwide Friday, April 23 exclusively at Metrograph.com, starting with a live screening and panel discussion at 8pm ET on April 23, followed by a limited on-demand window and a series of special events. A national virtual cinema rollout will follow.
