The Asian Film Festival of Dallas (AFFD) celebrates and supports emerging and established Asian and Asian-American filmmakers and sharing the rich diversity of Asian culture through the medium of cinema. Since its creation in 2002, the annual film festival has grown to become the South’s largest showcase of Asian and Asian American cinema.

Ning Hao’s Chinese comedy The Movie Emperor will kick off the film lineup for this year’s 23rd edition of Asian Film Festival of Dallas (AFFD) taking place July 25-28, 2024. AFFD’s Centerpiece film will be Marc Marriott’s fish-out-of-water tale Tokyo Cowboy, and the Closing Night film is Soi Cheang’s Hong Kong action-adventure film Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In.

The 2022 Asian Film Festival of Dallas (AFFD) announced the lineup of 16 feature films (12 Narrative, 4 Documentary), and 11 short films for the 21st edition of the film festival taking place July 21-24, 2022. Opening Night selection is Wenxiong Xing’s Too Cool to Kill, the Closing Night selection is Roshan Sethi’s 7 Days, Spotlight screenings include Park Hoon-Jung’s The Witch 2: The Other One, and Shô Miyake’s Small, Slow but Steady.
