
The 73rd Berlin International Film Festival will open on February 16, 2023 with the world premiere of Rebecca Miller’s romantic comedy She Came to Me starring Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei, Joanna Kulig, Brian d’Arcy James and Anne Hathaway.
The Berlinale is a unique place of artistic exploration and entertainment. Berlinale revealed the films showcased in Perspektive Deutsches Kino, Berlinale Classics and Retrospective programs of the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.

Berlin Film Festival unveiled titles selected for Berlinale Special, Berlinale Series, Forum and Forum Expanded; along wit the official poster of the upcoming 73rd edition of the festival. “The key visual for the 73rd Berlinale directs our attention to the indispensable core of a metropolitan film festival: the audience. Kristen Stewart will be the president of the International Jury at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.

Director Steven Spielberg will be presented with an Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement and celebrated with the Homage at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. During the Award Ceremony at the Berlinale Palast, the festival will screen his most recent work, The Fabelmans.

Berlin International Film Festival issued a statement today, calling for the acquittal of filmmaker and 2022 festival juror Tsitsi Dangarembga who was apprehended in July 2020 at a protest in Harare, Zimbabwe. She has since been released on bail, but in a trial, now taking place before the Anti-Corruption Court in Harare, the decision will be made on whether to drop the case or seek a verdict.

The Jury of the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival headed by M. Night Shyamalan awarded the Golden Bear for Best Film to Alcarrâs directed by Carla Simon. The film tells the story of the Solé family and their peach orchard in Alcarràs, a small village in Spain’s Catalonia region as they they face eviction and an uncertain future.

Berlin International Film Festival announced that actress Isabelle Huppert has tested positive for the coronavirus in Paris and will not be able to attend the festival. The Homage of the Berlinale 2022 is dedicated to French film and stage actor Isabelle Huppert, who is also the recipient of the Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement.
