CAAMFest (known prior to 2013 as the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF)) is the nation’s leading showcase for Asian and Asian American talent in film, food, music, and arts. For over 40 years, CAAM (Center for Asian American Media) has been dedicated to presenting stories that convey the richness and diversity of Asian American experiences to the broadest audience possible. As a nonprofit organization, CAAM funds, produces, distributes, and exhibits works in film, television, and digital media.

Girls Will Be Girls directed by Shuchi Talati won the Narrative Competition Award; and Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement directed by Quyên Nguyen-Le and Tadashi Nakamura won the Documentary Competition Award at Center for Asian American Media’s CAAMFest 2024. Nobuko Miyamoto: A Song in Movement also won the Audience Award for Documentary Feature.

The Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) announced the program lineup for CAAMFest 2024, taking place fully in-person May 9-19, 2024 in San Francisco and Oakland.

The Disney+ Original series American Born Chinese will premiere at CAAMFest 2023 taking place May 11-21, in San Francisco and Oakland. This sneak peek of American Born Chinese at CAAMFest will feature two episodes from the series, with a Q+A to follow. All episodes of American Born Chinese will be streaming on Disney+ on May 24.

The Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) announced the fully in-person program lineup for CAAMFest 2023, taking place May 11-21, 2023 in San Francisco. Opening Night of this year’s festival is headlined by the film Joy Ride directed by Adele Lim at the Castro Theatre.
