Anora directed by Sean Baker won the Palme d’or at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The jury led by Greta Gerwig selected the comedy drama film of Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, who gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.

Moi aussi (Me too), French actress, director, screenwriter and producer Judith Godrèche’s new short film, which highlights the stories of victims of sexual violence, will be included in the Official Selection of 2024 Cannes Film Festival, and will screen at the Un Certain Regard opening ceremony.

Cannes Film Festival revealed the eight projects presented in the new Immersive Competition including collective location-based virtual reality and mixed reality experiences, and projection mapping and holographic works. 11 short films from 10 countries and for its 27th edition La Cinef will present 14 live-action and 4 animated short films in competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
