Cannes Film Festival today unveiled the complete jury presided over by Swedish filmmaker and two-time Palme d’or winner Ruben Östlund. Alongside the President, the Jury features Moroccan director Maryam Touzani, French actor Denis Ménochet, British-Zambian screenwriter & director Rungano Nyoni, American actress & director Brie Larson, American actor Paul Dano, Afghan author Atiq Rahimi, Argentinian director & screenwriter Damián Szifrón and French director Julia Ducournau who won the top prize in 2021.

Cannes Film Festival will honor actor Michael Douglas with the Palme d’or d’honneur at the upcoming 76th edition of the festival, “in recognition of his brilliant career as well as his engagement for cinema”. The Festival de Cannes will pay a tribute to him during the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, May 16.

Actor John C. Reilly will preside over the Un Certain Regard Jury at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, together with French director and screenwriter Alice Winocour, German actress Paula Beer, French-Cambodian director and producer Davy Chou and Belgian actress Émilie Dequenne. Pedro Almodóvar’s latest film, the Spanish western short film Strange Way of Life will world premiere as an Official Selection of 76th Cannes Film Festival. This short is the filmmaker’s second English-language experience, after The Human Voice in 2020. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Pedro Pascal, Pedro Casablanc, Manu Ríos, George Steane, José Condessa, Jason Fernández, Sara Sálamo, Ohiana Cueto, and Daniela Medina.
