The TCFF board made the decision to end the era of the festival on a high note, with Moore noting that the festival is ending while it is still ahead and no longer in debt. Cannes Film Festival will honor actor Michael Douglas with the Palme d’or d’honneur at the upcoming 76th edition of the festival, “in recognition of his brilliant career as well as his engagement for cinema”. The Festival de Cannes will pay a tribute to him during the Opening Ceremony on Tuesday, May 16.
