WOMEN TALKING Wins Best Feature Film at 2022 Twin Cities Film Fest

A big-screen adaptation of the Miriam Toews novel, about a group of eight women in an isolated religious community struggling to reconcile with their faith after a series of sexual assaults, Women Talking stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand in critically acclaimed roles. McDormand also served as producer on the film.

Decibel directed by In-ho Hwang The 8th Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) will take place November 9 – 18, 2022 in Los Angeles. AWFF kicks off Wednesday, November 9 with the world premiere of the action-thriller Decibel directed by In-ho Hwang and starring Kim Rae Won and Lee Jang Suk. The film is a sound terror action film and revolves around a bomb designer who wants to occupy the city center with a special bomb that explodes when the noise increases and a former naval deputy commander who becomes his target.

Pinball – The Man Who Saved the Game, directed by Austin Bragg and Meredith Bragg The Savannah College of Art and Design announced the award winners for the 25th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Pinball – The Man Who Saved the Game, directed by Austin Bragg and Meredith Bragg won the award for Best Narrative Feature; and Sam Now won the award Best Documentary Feature along with Best Director for Reed Harkness.

Jamie Lee Curtis to Receive Prestigious Maltin Modern Master Award at Santa Barbara Film Festival
Jamie Lee Curtis in Everything Everywhere All At Once (Allyson Riggs/A24) Jamie Lee Curtis will receive the prestigious Maltin Modern Master Award at the 38th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Curtis will receive the award on Saturday, February 11th following an in-person conversation about her career leading up to this year’s performances as Laurie Strode in Halloween Ends, a beloved character that she has portrayed for a record 44 years as well as Deidre Beaubeirdre in A24’s critically acclaimed smash hit Everything Everywhere All At Once.

The Quiet Girl (An Cailín Ciúin) by Colm Bairéad The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) handed out its 2022 awards, with The Quiet Girl, the Irish film on a quiet, neglected girl sent away from her overcrowded, dysfunctional family to live with foster parents for the summer, winning the Jury award for Best Film. Lovely Jackson, the true life story of Rickey Jackson who spent 39 years on death row and in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, won for Best Feature Documentary.
