International Film Festival Rotterdam 2022 Reveals Competition Selections and Online Film Program
Please Baby Please directed by Amanda Kramer International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) revealed the 14 films selected for the festival’s Tiger Competition, as well as the Big Screen Competition and Ammodo Tiger Short Competition selections. The festival also announced the IFFR 2022 Selection available to audiences in the Netherlands on IFFR.com from January 26 to February 6, 2022. The program includes titles in Harbour, Limelight, Bright Future and Cinema Regained.

Jarmo Jaaskelainen (with umbrella), Tadzio Wosiński, Jacek Czerwiński, Michal Bukojemski (Krakow Film Festival) Krakow Film Festival announced that Finnish documentary filmmaker Jarmo Jääskeläinen died on 2 January 2022. He was 84 years old. He was to receive the most valuable statuette Dragon of Dragons of the Krakow Film Festival in May for his contribution to global documentary cinema.

Slamdance Film Festival 2022 Cancels In-person Event, Goes Virtual in Response to Omnicron
Following Sundance Film Festival’s announcement, Slamdance Film Festival 2022 is also responding to increasing concerns around the Omicron variant by canceling the in-person portion of the upcoming festival and moving completely virtual. The festival will now start a week later on January 27 and run through February 6, 2022.
