The 35th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) kicks-off with the premiere director George Gallo’s The Comeback Trail featuring an all-star cast including Academy Award winning actors Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones, Golden Globe nominated actor Zach Braff (Scrubs) with co-stars Emile Hirsch, Eddie Griffin and South Florida actress Kate Katzman.

The 33rd Annual Virginia Film Festival will present a program of more than 50 films, conversations, and special events that will include a series of virtual conversations and a series of Drive-In Movies presented in two safe and socially-distanced settings.

After this years 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival originally scheduled for July 3 –11, 2020 was canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic, the festival will now instead hold Karlovy Vary IFF 54 ½ from November 18 – 21, 2020. With this non-competition showcase of films, the festival will Czech premiere an exclusive selection of the most distinctive films from Sundance, Berlin, Venice, and Cannes film festivals.

For the first time in the festival’s history, the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival announced its juried winners on opening weekend, with the top jury prizes going to No Ordinary Man directed by Aisling Chin-Yee and Chase Joynt for Best Canadian Feature and No Hard Feelings directed by Faraz Shariat for Best First Feature.
