The 40th edition of the Hawai‘i International Film Festival set to open on November 5th through the 29th, will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual screenings, with over 200 films from 25 countries, and 17 world premieres.

AFI FEST 2020 has added a Centerpiece Drive-in screening of One Night in Miami… directed by Academy Award® winner Regina King, to this year’s festival line-up. The Amazon Original film will screen at the Rose Bowl on Monday, October 19. The film takes place over one night with icons Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, Sam Cooke and Jim Brown examining the civil rights movement. Written by Olivier-nominated Kemp Powers, based off his 2013 stage play, One Night in Miami… stars Kingsley Ben-Adir, Eli Goree, Aldis Hodge and Leslie Odom Jr.

The Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Festival (BHFF) in New York City announced the lineup of 13 films selected for its 17th edition, held virtually this year from Tuesday, October 27th through Sunday, November 1st.

The 35th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) kicks-off with the premiere director George Gallo’s The Comeback Trail featuring an all-star cast including Academy Award winning actors Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Tommy Lee Jones, Golden Globe nominated actor Zach Braff (Scrubs) with co-stars Emile Hirsch, Eddie Griffin and South Florida actress Kate Katzman.

For its 26th year, the Cucalorus Film Festival is taking a new approach with a hybrid format of live online events, streaming films online, and drive-in movie screenings at Curbside Cinema at UNCW. The festival is expanding dates to span fifteen days, November 11th-25th with a full lineup totaling 95 films, with everything from heartwarming dramas and important documentaries to obscure shorts and the just plain zany.
