Karlovy Vary IFF 54 ½. Graphic Designer Aleš Najbrt, Festival president Jiří Bartoška After this years 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival originally scheduled for July 3 –11, 2020 was canceled due to the coronavirus epidemic, the festival will now instead hold Karlovy Vary IFF 54 ½ from November 18 – 21, 2020. With this non-competition showcase of films, the festival will Czech premiere an exclusive selection of the most distinctive films from Sundance, Berlin, Venice, and Cannes film festivals.

Inside Out LGBT Film Festival Announces 2020 Jury Winners – NO HARD FEELINGS and NO ORDINARY MAN Win Top Prizes
No Ordinary Man directed by Aisling Chin-Yee and Chase Joynt For the first time in the festival’s history, the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival announced its juried winners on opening weekend, with the top jury prizes going to No Ordinary Man directed by Aisling Chin-Yee and Chase Joynt for Best Canadian Feature and No Hard Feelings directed by Faraz Shariat for Best First Feature.

AFI FEST 2020 Announces Full Lineup – UNCLE FRANK, HOPPER/WELLES and More

IDFA 2020 Unveils Masters and Paradocs Lineups + More Films in Best of Fests
Rithy Panh’s Irradiated, winner of the Berlinale Documentary Award International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) announced the selections for the Masters and Paradocs program sections, as well as the remaining titles in the Best of Fests section. A total of 47 films have been added to the IDFA 2020 program.

2021 Cleveland International Film Festival To Be Held Online
The 45th Cleveland International Film Festival scheduled to take place April 7-20, 2021, will be held entirely online. This decision was unanimously approved by the CIFF Board of Directors at its September 29, 2020 meeting.

Zappa, directed by Alex Winter The twelfth annual Santa Fe Independent Film Festival (SFiFF) will open on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020 with Zappa, an in-depth documentary directed by Alex Winter, which centers on the life, work, and politics of musician Frank Zappa. With found footage from the Zappa family trust and other archives, Winter gives us a groundbreaking look into the musician’s life, featuring appearances by his widow, Gail Zappa, and musical collaborators like Mike Keneally, Ian Underwood, Steve Vai, Pamela Des Barres, Bunk Gardner, David Harrington, Scott Thunes, and Ruth Underwood.
