Just days before opening night, Sarajevo Film Festival has made the decision to conduct all festival events of the 2020 edition entirely online from August 14 to 21. The festival in a statement explained, “Due to greatly increased concern regarding the epidemiological situation in Sarajevo, and record cases of COVID-19 infection in the city in the past several days.”

New films directed by Pedro Almodóvar and Academy Award winner Regina King have been added to the lineup in Out of Competition of the 77th Venice International Film Festival scheduled to take place from September 2 to 12 2020.

Rooftop Films, in partnership with Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) and the New York Hall of Science (NYSCI), announced the programming for August as part of their summer drive-in festival at the Queens Drive-In location in New York City.
