The coming-of-age film follows two 13-year-olds who form a unique bond at a local modeling school, where the promise of a better life pushes girls to violate their bodies in increasingly extreme ways.

Zoe Saldaña in Emilia Pérez (SSIFF) Emilia Pérez, which earned Jacques Audiard the Jury Prize at Cannes Film Festival, will open the Perlak competition of the 2024 San Sebastian International Film Festival. The female protagonists featuring Zoe Saldaña, Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz also jointly won the Best Actress Award Cannes Film Festival for this film in which a Mexican cartel leader decides to change sex in a cast also starring Edgar Ramírez.
