
Beyond Fest, the huge genre film festival in Los Angeles, California, returns for its 12th edition from September 25th – October 9th with a slate comprising 82 feature films.

The 25th annual Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) will screen 112 films from 19 countries from October 17-24, 2024.

The 44th edition of the Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF) in Halifax, Nova Scotia announced its 2024 award winners. Sharp Corner won the Gordon Parsons Award for Best Atlantic Feature along with DGC Award for Best Atlantic Director for director Jason Buxton. In the thriller film based on the short story by Russell Wangersky, Ben Foster stars as Josh McCall, a man who becomes obsessed with saving car accident victims at the sharp road corner near his home.

For its 15th year, the Twin Cities Film Fest in Minnesota released its 2024 film slate of more than 140 movies set to screen October 17-26, 2024. More than 70 films will also simultaneously stream online via the TCFF STREAMS platform.

Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck wins the People’s Choice Award at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival which officially wrapped today with its annual awards. The People’s Choice Documentary Award went to The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal directed by Mike Downie; and the People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award went to The Substance, directed by Coralie Fargeat.
