The Banshees of Inisherin directed by Martin McDonagh The Savannah College of Art and Design hosts this year’s 25th anniversary edition of SCAD Savannah Film Festival in person, October 22–29, 2022. The SCAD Savannah Film Festival will screen 143 films, including 53 narrative feature films, 20 documentary feature films, and 79 shorts, with eight world premieres and six U.S. premieres.

The Falconer, directed by Adam Sjöberg and Seanne Winslow. The Savannah College of Art and Design announced the award winners for the 24th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival. In the professional competition, Best Documentary Feature went to Medicine Man: The Stan Brock Story, directed by Paul Michael Angell; and Best Narrative Feature went to The Falconer, directed by Adam Sjöberg and Seanne Winslow in addition to the Best Director honors.

More than 1,700 films were submitted for the festival.

Billy Crystal Tony and Emmy award winner Billy Crystal will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 23rd annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival, taking place as a virtual experience October 24 – October 31. Crystal will receive his award on Monday, October 26 following the screening of his latest critically acclaimed film Standing Up, Falling Down.
