Following the world premiere at DOC NYC, the documentary Chasing Childhood will screen at upcoming film festivals across the country in March and April, including Portland International Film Festival (March 5-14) and Sonoma International Film Festival (March 24-28).

HBO will premiere The Day Sports Stood Still, a feature-length documentary that tells the story of the unprecedented sports shutdown in March of 2020 and the remarkable turn of events that followed. Emmy®-winning director Antoine Fuqua (HBO’s “What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali”) will chronicle the abrupt stoppage, athletes’ prominent role in the cultural reckoning on racial injustices that escalated during the pandemic and the complex return to competition in the summer and fall. The film debuts Wednesday, March 24 (9:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO.

IFC Films acquired Petra Epperlein and Michael Tucker’s documentary The Meaning of Hitler, a thought-provoking exploration of the lasting cultural fascination with the Nazi dictator and its resonance on present day politics. IFC Films will release the film later this year.

The film which had its world premiere at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival opens Friday, April 23 exclusively at Metrograph.com for an extended digital engagement. The multi-part documentary event will offer an unprecedented, sweeping portrait of New Yorkers as they rebuild and rebound, from a devastating terrorist attack through the ongoing global pandemic. Capturing the history through a staggering amount of visual imagery, and featuring first-hand accounts from a panoply of citizens from all walks of life, the documentary event will debut later this year on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in commemoration of the September 11th attacks.

HBO released the trailer for Q: Into The Storm, a six-part documentary series charting a labyrinthine journey to unmask the mastermind behind QAnon. Q: Into The Storm debuts with two back-to-back episodes Sunday, March 21 (9:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), with new episodes airing back-to-back subsequent Sundays at the same time.

Greenwich Entertainment will release Moby Doc, the new biographical documentary on electronic musician Moby, directed and edited by Rob Bralver. Moby Doc will be released by Greenwich in theaters and on digital platforms across the country on May 28, 2021.

Hulu released the trailer for “kid 90,” Soleil Moon Frye’s documentary on growing up as a teen star in the 90’s, premiering on March 12 on Hulu.
