A24 released the first trailer forThe Souvenir, a mysterious and mesmerizing chronicle of first love from acclaimed filmmaker Joanna Hogg. The Sundance Grand Jury Prize Winner features profoundly layered breakout performances by Honor Swinton Byrne and Tom Burke alongside Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton in an enrapturing and personal portrait of the artist as a young woman. The Souvenir will be released in theaters on May 17, 2019.
Sophie Lorain edgy hilarious comedy Slut in a Good Way, from the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival released a new raunchy clip. The film starring Marguerite Bouchard, Romane Denis, Rose Adam, and Alex Godbout, will open in theaters starting March 29th – in New York City at Village East Cineman, in Brooklyn at Alamo Drafthouse; and Los Angeles at Laemmle Glendale, Laemmle’s Playhouse and Laemmle Royal.
The inspirational, star-studded drama We Are Boats follows a young woman, Francesca (beautifully portrayed by “Westworld” alum Angela Sarafyan) as she navigates through the living world, encountering strangers at the exact moment she needs to, sending their lives on either a better course towards happiness or setting the wheels in motion towards a tragic end.
Native Son, directed by first-time director and renowned visual artist Rashid Johnson, that world premiered in January at the Sundance Film Festival, will debut Saturday, April 6 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on HBO. The film is based on the classic novel by Richard Wright and from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks (“Topdog/Underdog”).
The first trailer is released for the upcoming cosmic horror Starfish, featuring a dazzling lead performance from Virginia Gardner (Halloween 2018, Marvel’s The Runaways). The film begins its theatrical roadshow tour starting in NYC on March 13 with a rollout in other cities through late April, followed by the Digital/VOD release May 28.
The award-winning, satiric comic fantasy “2050” starring Dean Cain, will kick off its theatrical release, beginning on Valentine’s Day, at “home” in New York City, where the film was shot. The film will open in NYC on February 14th, before heading to several other cities thereafter.
