Colin Firth, Odessa Young, Olivia Colman in Eva Husson’s Mothering Sunday Sony Pictures Classics announced that they will now release Eva Husson’s Mothering Sunday in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on March 25, 2022 before expanding to other markets over the following weeks. The film previously received a one-week qualifying run in Los Angeles in November 2021, making it eligible for all potential awards. Star Olivia Colman has since received recognition from the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards, earning a nomination for “British/Irish Actress of the Year.”

It stars David Earl, Chris Hayward, Louise Brealey, James Michie and Nina Sosanya. This marks Archer’s feature directorial debut after cutting his teeth shooting comedy sketches with friends before writing and directing several short films culminating in winning gold at the Young Director Awards in Cannes for the short film version of Brian and Charles.
