Screen Media released the official trailer for A Week In Paradise, the romantic comedy film starring Malin Ackerman (The Final Girls), Connie Nielsen (Wonder Woman), Philip Winchester (Flyboys), and Jack Donnelly (Death in Paradise). Directed by Philippe Martinez (One Year Off, Father Christmas is Back), the film opens in theaters and on demand on February 11, 2022.

Sony Pictures Classics announced that they will now release Eva Husson’s Mothering Sunday in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on March 25, 2022 before expanding to other markets over the following weeks. The film previously received a one-week qualifying run in Los Angeles in November 2021, making it eligible for all potential awards. Star Olivia Colman has since received recognition from the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards, earning a nomination for “British/Irish Actress of the Year.”

Focus Features, Peacock, and Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions acquired the hit indie comedy Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul. starring Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown which was a breakout hit at the 2022 Sundance film festival. The film will premiere in theaters and on Peacock later this year.

Quiver debuted the trailer for The Changed, the sci-fi horror film starring Clare Foley (Sinister), Jason Alan Smith (Before I Wake), and Tony Todd (Candyman). Also starring in the film are Carlee Avers, Doug Tompos, Olivia Freer and Kathy Searle. Directed by Michael Mongillo, the film opens in select theaters and on demand on March 4th, 2022.

A dark contemporary supernatural thriller, So Cold the River, follows a documentary filmmaker (Lenz) who soon realizes that the subject of her investigation isn’t who he claims to be. Ahead of the theatrical release, Super LTD released the official trailer for Ted K, the historical drama film starring Sharlto Copley as Ted Kaczynski, in the film billed as the true story of the man known as the Unabomber, and the events leading to his arrest. Also starring in the film are Drew Powell, Amber Rose Mason, Travis Bruyer, Megan Folsom, Andrew Senn and Keith Barber.

Roadside Attractions and Vertical Entertainment partnered to acquire Emily the Criminal, the Sundance 2022 critically-acclaimed thriller, with an original screenplay and directorial debut by John Patton Ford, starring and produced by Aubrey Plaza (Black Bear, Ingrid Goes West). Plaza stars opposite Theo Rossi (American Skin, Army of the Dead) as well as Megalyn Echikunwoke (Late Night, Damsels in Distress), and Gina Gershon (Blockers, Bound).

Give or Take, the heartfelt, multi-award-winning comedy drama from director Paul Riccio, will open in theaters in New York at the Quad Cinemas and Los Angeles at the Laemmle Royal on February 11, followed by a DVD, digital release on February 22.

Focus Features acquired Brian and Charles, the Sundance breakout film directed by Jim Archer (who also directed the original short film). It stars David Earl, Chris Hayward, Louise Brealey, James Michie and Nina Sosanya. This marks Archer’s feature directorial debut after cutting his teeth shooting comedy sketches with friends before writing and directing several short films culminating in winning gold at the Young Director Awards in Cannes for the short film version of Brian and Charles.

Following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival where it won the Special Jury Award for Ensemble Cast in the U.S. Dramatic Competition, Bleecker Street acquired Abi Damaris Corbin’s (The Suitcase) debut feature 892 starring John Boyega (Star Wars, Attack the Block), the late Michael Kenneth Williams in his final film role (“The Wire”, 12 Years a Slave), Nicole Beharie (Shame, 42), Connie Britton (Promising Young Woman, “Friday Night Lights”), Olivia Washington (Lee Daniels’ The Butler, The Little Things), Selenis Leyva (Spider-Man: Homecoming, “Orange Is the New Black”), London Covington (Hunters) and Jeffrey Donovan (“Burn Notice”, Changeling).
