In the film starring Chellapandi, Karuththadaiyaan, an alcoholic father embarks on a journey, dragging his young son along to fetch back his wife who had left him after his constant abuse.
Sony Pictures Classics will release The Duke, the dramedy film directed by Roger Michell and starring Academy Award® winners Jim Broadbent along with Helen Mirren, in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on March 25, 2022, before expanding in the following weeks. The film is currently playing at the Laemmle Royal in Los Angeles for a one-week awards qualifying run, which ends December 16th.

Keke Palmer and Common star in the dramatic thriller Alice, world premiering at 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The film marks the feature debut of Krystin Ver Linden (American Roulette) who was recently named one of Variety’s “10 Directors to Watch” for 2022. Vertical Entertainment and Roadside Attractions acquired the film, and set a theatrical release date of March 18, 2022.
Film Forum in New York City will host a special presentation of MTV Documentary Films’ acclaimed short subject documentary Lynching Postcards: “Token of a Great Day” directed and produced by Christine Turner, during the week of Martin Luther King Jr. Day running between January 14th – 20th. Each screening will be free and open to the public, and director Christine Turner will appear for Q&As at select screenings over the MLK holiday weekend at Film Forum.

Everything Everywhere All at Once will have its world premiere as the opening night film of SXSW on March 11, 2022, and opens in theaters on March 25, 2021.
Kino Lorber released the official trailer for Brighton 4, Georgia’s Official Submission to the 94th Academy Awards; and winner of Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Actor at 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. Directed by Levan Koguashvil, the film tells the story of Kakhi, a Georgian ex-wrestler who travels from Tbilisi to Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, to help his son Soso find a way out of a gambling debt.

Eugene Smith, the American photographer who documented the effects of mercury poisoning on the citizens of Minamata, Kumamoto, Japan, in the film Minamata, directed by Andrew Levitas. The Producers Guild of America (PGA) announced the 2022 Documentary Motion Picture nominees that will advance to the final round of voting for the 33rd Annual Producers Guild Awards. Last year, producer Craig Foster was honored with the award for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Motion Picture for “My Octopus Teacher,” which documented a year spent by Foster forging a relationship with a wild common octopus in a South African kelp forest.
