Directed by Sarah Colt, Billy Graham, a new documentary that explores the life and career of one of the best-known and most influential religious leaders of the 20th century, premieres Monday, May 17, 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET on American Experience on PBS.
Apple released the official trailer for Fathom, the documentary film on humpback whale songs and social communication which premieres globally on Apple TV+ on June 25, 2021 following the world premiere at the 2021 Tribeca Festival.
The 2021 Tribeca Festival announced its 2021 Shorts Program lineup comprised of 64 short films “striking hopeful and optimistic tones from 20 countries worldwide.” World Premieres account for 70% of the competition slate, which is the highest percentage in Tribeca history. The short films will be presented in eight programs: two documentaries, two narratives, two hybrids (including both narrative and documentary), one animation, and one New York shorts program.

“Spring Blossom” written, directed, and starring Suzanne Lindo
The French drama Spring Blossom, a film written, directed, and starring Suzanne Lindo will open at Angelika Film Center in New York and at Laemmle Theaters in Los Angeles, and in other cities, on May 21, 2021. An Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival, Spring Blossom is Suzanne Lindon’s directorial debut at nineteen, based on the screenplay she wrote at fifteen.
Directed by Christopher André Marks (Tiger Hood, 2015), the inspiring sports documentary film King Otto tells the story of the Greek National Football Team, that had never won a single match or even scored a goal in a major tournament, went on to win the European Championship led by legendary German football coach “King” Otto Rehhagel.
Metrograph Pictures released the official trailer for Sisters with Transistors, a new feature documentary portraying the iconic women who pioneered electronic music, opening nationwide Friday, April 23 exclusively at Metrograph.com, starting with a live screening and panel discussion at 8pm ET on April 23, followed by a limited on-demand window and a series of special events. A national virtual cinema rollout will follow. The film had its world premiere at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival, won the Next Wave Award at CPH:DOX, and screened at AFI Fest and Sheffield Doc Fest, among many others.

Following its World Premiere at CPH:DOX and a North American Premiere at SFFILM Festival, Nefise Özkal Lorentzen’s documentary film SEYRAN ATEŞ: Sex, Revolution and Islam will have its Canadian premiere at Hot Docs Festival 2021.
Check out the new trailer for the dystopian fantasy-thriller, Undergods, which will be coming to cinemas and digital download on May 7.
