It is based on the killing of Hind Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed by Israeli forces during the ongoing Israeli invasion of Gaza.

Japan has selected Lee Sang-il’s epic kabuki drama Kokuho (National Treasure) as its submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards.

Iceland has selected Hlynur Pálmason’s The Love That Remains (Ástin sem eftir er) as its entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards.
Norway has submitted Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value (Affeksjonsverdi) as its contender for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards (2026).
Here is a trailer for Junk World, the latest film from stop-motion auteur Takahide Hori, set to make its International premiere in the Midnight Madness program at Toronto International Film Festival. The film is a prequel set more than a millennium before Junk Head, Hori’s underground cult hit.
