Dark Star Pictures released the official trailer for the horror thriller Honeydew starring Sawyer Spielberg, Malin Barr and Barbara Kingsley that was originally set to world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival but due to COVID19, debuted at Nightstream Film Festival. The film, the feature debut of Devereux Milburn opens in theaters on March 12, 2021, and on demand and digital on April 13, 2021.

Samuel Goldwyn Films released the trailer for the horror / thriller film Dreamcatcher written and directed by Jacob Johnston. The film starring Niki Koss, Zachary Gordon, Travis Burns, Blaine Kern III, Olivia Sui, Emrhys Cooper, Elizabeth Posey, Nazanin Mandi, Adrienne Wilkinson, and Lou Ferrigno Jr opens in theaters, on digital and demand on March 5, 2021.

H.E.N.R.I. a science fiction film from award-winning Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) member, Guyanese born Canadian filmmaker, Ryan Singh, makes its world premiere at the Toronto Black Film Festival, February 10-21, 2021. Singh made H.E.N.R.I. a family affair including his six-year-old twins, Ava (Tall Boyz, Handmaid’s Tale) and Sebastian (Suits, Handmaid’s Tale, Silent) who helped write and also appear with their father in the short film. Being able to empower his children to have a voice, was a blessing for the filmmaker.

RLJE Films and Shudder released the official trailer for the horror film “The Reckoning” directed by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, The Descent) which opens in theaters, on demand and digital on February 5, 2021.

IFC Midnight is planning a release in early 2021 for visionary director Anthony Scott Burns’ Come True a sci-fi nightmare based on the real-life horror of sleep paralysis and how it plays tricks on the mind. The film starring Julia Sarah Stone (The Killing, Weirdos, Allure) and Landon Liboiron (Truth or Dare, Frontier, Hemlock Grove) had its world premiere at the 2020 Fantasia Film Festival and its U.S. premiere at the inaugural virtual super-festival NIGHTSTREAM.

Neon will handle theatrical release for Justin Simien’s horror satire Bad Hair, which premiered earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival. The film has since been featured in Essence Festival, CurlFest, UrbanWorld, where Simien (Dear White People) received the 2020 Festival Ambassador Award, Chicago Film Festival, New York Comic Con, Beyond Fest and One Music Festival.
