IFC Midnight released a new teaser trailer for Relic, the feature film debut of writer/director Natalie Erika James and starring Emily Mortimer. Relic had its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and is scheduled to open July 10, 2020 in theaters and On Demand / Digital Rental.
In light of widespread cinema closures as result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Shudder has rerouted from their planned Spring release for Blood Quantum from writer & director Jeff Barnaby (Rhymes for Young Ghouls) and in a surprise move the film will roll-out on all Shudder platforms on April 28th at Midnight EST.

German actor Dieter Laser know internationally for starring in the horror film, The Human Centipede, has died aged 78. His death was announced in a post on his Facebook page, saying that the actor had died on February 29.
IFC Midnight will release Egor Abramenko’s directorial debut Sputnik based on his short film The Passenger which played in the 2017 Fantastic Film Festival in Austin. Sputnik was set to have its world premiere in the Midnight Section at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. IFC Midnight will release the film on August 14th, 2020.

The film directed and written by the Pierce brothers – Brett and Drew Pierce, follows a rebellious teenage boy who embarks on a gutsy crusade to stop the terrifying evil he suspects has possessed his neighbor.

Dark Sky Films released the trailer for the horror film 1BR which was set to open in theaters and on digital platforms on April 24th. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the April 24th in-theater date is likely to be cancelled but the digital release date will remain as scheduled.
