EFM // 1091 Pictures has acquired To The Moon, the directorial debut from actor-turned-director Scott Friend. The film, which is written, directed, and starring Friend, premiered in 2021 at NIGHTSTREAM and was in selection at the 2020 US in Progress industry showcase organized by Wroclaw’s American Film Festival, which later hosted the film’s international premiere.
Brainstorm Media released the official trailer for Nightride, a realtime one shot thriller from BAFTA-nominated director Stephen Fingleton, starring Moe Dunford (Vikings, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Joana Ribeiro (The Man Who Killed Don Quixote). The film opens in select theaters and on demand on March 4, 2022.
Vertical Entertainment will release Measure of Revenge, a psychological thriller that marks an international directorial debut by Malaysian director Peyfa about an actress whose famous son dies suddenly from a supposed overdose, causing her to conduct her own investigation with the help of a drug dealer in pursuit of answers, justice, and revenge by any means necessary. Vertical is planning a day-and-date release on March 18, 2022.
IFC Films debuted the official trailer for Nitram starring Caleb Landry Jones as a disturbed young man called Nitram and the events leading to his involvement in the 1996 Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania, Australia.
Directed by Teemu Nikki, the Finnish film The Blind Man Who Did Not Want to See Titanic is an intense thriller shot from a blind man’s perspective, starring Petri Poikolainen, a blind and wheelchair-bound actor in a gripping debut performance.

Roadside Attractions and Vertical Entertainment partnered to acquire Emily the Criminal, the Sundance 2022 critically-acclaimed thriller, with an original screenplay and directorial debut by John Patton Ford, starring and produced by Aubrey Plaza (Black Bear, Ingrid Goes West). Plaza stars opposite Theo Rossi (American Skin, Army of the Dead) as well as Megalyn Echikunwoke (Late Night, Damsels in Distress), and Gina Gershon (Blockers, Bound).

IFC Films and Shudder acquired Resurrection, the psychological thriller written and directed by Andrew Semans (Nancy, Please), starring Rebecca Hall, Tim Roth, Grace Kaufman and Michael Esper, that premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
Watcher, the indie thriller from director Chloe Okuno (Shudder’s V/H/S/94, Slut) which made its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival has been acquired by IFC Midnight. Watcher stars Maika Monroe (It Follows, Greta), Karl Glusman (Love) and Burn Gorman (Torchwood). IFC Midnight will release the film in theaters and on VOD in 2022 with Shudder taking the first streaming window.
