Tom Botchii’s feature debut, ARTIK, which world premieres at Popcorn Frights Film Fest this week released the poster and brand new trailer.

FREAKS directed Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, and starring Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern, Grace Park, with Amanda Crew, and introducing Lexy Kolker dropped a new trailer along with a new poster designed by Chris Shy of Studio Ronin. The science-fiction thriller also dropped a new release date and will now open in theaters nationwide on September 13th.

The spy thriller ECCO – the feature debut of writer-director Ben Medina – is described as a thriller in the tradition of Drive, Hanna, and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. The film starring Lathrop Walker (Leverage), Tabitha Bastien (The Wonderland Murders), Helena Grace Donald (Hellraiser: Judgment), and Michael Winters (Gilmore Girls, NYPD Blue), will open nationwide on August 9th.

Dark Star Pictures acquired the action thriller The Prey that has excited audiences and critics at festivals including: Busan International Film Festival 2018, BFI London Film Festival 2018, Hawaii Film Festival 2018, Night Visions, and most recently Fantasia Film Festival 2019. The company is planning an October theatrical release followed by VOD and DVD release.

Cinedigm Corp released the official trailer for the crime thriller, AWAKE. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (VIKINGS, MATCH POINT) and Francesca Eastwood (OUTLAWS AND ANGELS, M.F.A.) star in this edge-of-your-seat thriller written by Elana Zeltser and directed by Alex Cher, a veteran Russian director and co-director Fedor Lyass making their English language feature debut with the film. Additional cast members include veteran actors Malik Yoba (NEW YORK UNDERCOVER) and William Forsythe (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS).

The neo-noir thriller, Blood On Her Name, the feature debut from Mathew Pope and starring Bethany Anne Lind (Ozark), Will Patton (Remember The Titans, Armageddon) and Elisabeth Röhm (Joy, American Hustle), released the first teaser trailer ahead of the World Premiere at 2019 Fantasia Film Festival.

Epic Pictures wraps production on LUCKY, a dark feminist thriller written by Brea Grant (THE ARRANGEMENT, Heroes) and directed by Natasha Kermani (IMITATION GIRL). Grant also stars in the feature, which shot in Los Angeles, CA and will see release in the US by Epic’s genre label, DREAD.

NY/LA-based arthouse genre sales company Yellow Veil Pictures has acquired world sales rights for neo-noir Blood On Her Name, the debut feature from Matthew Pope.

Momentum Pictures released the official trailer for Nekrotronic starring Monica Bellucci and David Wenham. Nekrotronic directed by Kiah Roache-Turner (Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead) and starring Ben O’Toole (Hacksaw Ridge, The Water Diviner), Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded, Mozart in the Jungle), Caroline Ford (Amazon’s Carnival Row, TV’s Once Upon a Time), Tess Haubrich (The Wolverine, Alien: Covenant), Epine Bob Savea, along with David Wenham (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Return of the King, 300) will be released in select theaters and digital HD on August 9, 2019.

Samuel Goldwyn Films and Shudder have teamed up to acquire Adam Egypt Mortimer’s dark thriller Daniel Isn’t Real starring Patrick Schwarzenegger (“The Long Road Home”, “Midnight Sun”) and Miles Robbins (“Blockers,” David Gordon Green’s “Halloween”) alongside Sasha Lane (“American Honey,” “Hearts Beat Loud”), Hannah Marks (“Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”) and Mary Stuart Masterson (“Blindspot”). The film will come to theaters and VOD late 2019.
