2021 Tribeca Festival Announces Immersive Lineup of Cutting-edge VR, AR, MR Experiences
Breonna’s Garden The 2021 Tribeca Festival announced the line-up for Tribeca Immersive, a leading incubator for innovation and a global stage where top creators choose to debut their latest work. With Tribeca At Home and in-person experiences at outdoor venues across New York City, Tribeca Immersive will showcase cinematic and cutting-edge virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality and participatory experiences by top artists who push the boundaries of storytelling with technology. The 2021 Tribeca Festival runs June 9-20.

SXSW to Showcase VR/XR Projects from Canceled 2020 Fest on Oculus TV
Look at Me directed by He Wei-Ting SXSW unveiled their new collaboration, SXSW 2020 Virtual Cinema on Oculus TV set to globally launch on May 22, 2020. This event will present seven 360 projects that were entered into the SXSW Virtual Cinema Competition, prior to its cancellation by the City of Austin due to concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic. Each of these works showcases how virtual reality can take users to places they can’t go and experience stories alongside the storytellers, in a time when so many people are isolated or socially distancing. Participating projects will be available on Oculus TV from May 22-31, 2020.
