The European Film Academy has unveiled the official nominees for the European Animated Feature Film category at this year’s European Film Awards. Chosen by a committee comprised of representatives of the European Film Academy and CARTOON, the European Association for Animation Film, five animated films have been chosen to compete in the category.

The historical drama film directed by Kim Sung-su tells the story of the 12.12 political coup after the assassination of Park Chung Hee, the former president of South Korea in 1979.
