The French comedy film Bye Bye Morons (Adieu Les Cons) dominated the 46th César Awards, wining Best Film along with Best Director for Albert Dupontel, Best Supporting Actor for Nicolas Mairé, Best Original Screenplay, Cinematography and Production Design.

Alexander Nanau’s “Collective” won the top prize for Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking and Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss’ Boys State took the Audience Choice Prize at the 14th Annual Cinema Eye Honors Awards Ceremony, held virtually last night.

“Judas and the Black Messiah” was named the year’s Best Film of 2020 by the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), the world’s largest group of Black film critics. Night of the Kings won the honor of Best Foreign Film and Best Documentary went to All In: The Fight For Democracy.

Nomadland and Rocks lead the nominations for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2021, with seven, followed by The Father, Mank, Minari and Promising Young Woman with six each.

“Nomadland” led the winners in the film categories at the 26th annual Critics Choice Awards, taking home four awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Chloé Zhao, and Best Cinematography for Joshua James Richards. Zhao is the first Chinese woman to win as either director or writer.

AARP The Magazine unveiled the winners for the annual Movies for Grownups® Awards, winners include The United States vs. Billie Holiday, The Life Ahead, The Father, One Night in Miami, A Secret Love and Collective.
