Film Independent announced the producers selected for its 19th annual Producing Lab. This intensive program is designed to help creative, independent producers develop their skills and further their careers by introducing Fellows to film professionals who can advise them on both the craft and business of independent producing. Actress Juliette Binoche will receive the honorary European Achievement in World Cinema award at the 32nd European Film Awards, in recognition of her “rich and diverse career in front of the camera” and “impressive dedication to cinema.”

Academy Award®-nominated and Emmy® Award-winning director Ava DuVernay will receive the Director Tribute and Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winning actor Sam Rockwell will receive the Actor Tribute at the 2019 IFP Gotham Awards. The ceremony will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019, at Cipriani Wall Street, New York City.
