The North Texas Film Critics Association (NTFCA) voted Oppenheimer the winner for Best Picture of 2023. The film also won Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Cinematography for Hoyte Van Hoytema, and the Gary Murray Award for Best Ensemble.

The Holdovers was honored as Best Film of 2023 by the Boston Society of Film Critics, along with Best Actor – Paul Giamatti, Best Supporting Actress – Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Best Original Screenplay – David Hemingson.

The St. Louis Film Critics Association picked Oppenheimer as the Best Film of 2023, and also honored the film with Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy; Best Adapted Screenplay for Christopher Nolan; Best Cinematography for Hoyte Van Hoytema; and Best Score for Ludwig Göransson.

Killers of the Flower Moon won Best Picture honors at Phoenix Film Critic’s Society 2023 awards, along with awards Best Screenplay Adapted from Other Material and Best Breakthrough Performance for actor Lily Gladstone.

Oppenheimer took the top honor of Best Film of 2023 at the Nevada Film Critics Society 2023 Awards for Achievement in Film along with Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey, Jr., Best Adapted Screenplay for Christopher Nolan, Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin, and Best Cinematography for Hoyt van Hoytema.

The San Diego Film Critics Society picked the coming-of-age film Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret directed by Kelly Fremon Craig as the Best Picture of 2023. The film also won Best Supporting Actress for Rachel McAdams, Best Youth Performance (For a performer under the age of 18) for Abby Ryder Fortson, Best Adapted Screenplay for Kelly Fremon Craig and Breakthrough Actor for Abby Ryder Fortson.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association voted the comedy-drama film The Holdovers as the best film of 2023, according to the results of its 30th annual critics’ poll. The film also won Best Supporting Actress for Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Best Screenplay for David Hemingson.

Oppenheimer was honored as Best Picture of 2023 by Las Vegas Film Critics Society, along with Best Director for Christopher Nolan, Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., Best Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, and Best Score.

Poor Things has been named the best film of 2023 by the Indiana Film Journalists Association, winning 7 awards, the most ever in the 15 years of the IFJA awards, including Best Lead Performance for Emma Stone, Best Supporting Performance for Mark Ruffalo, Best Director for Yorgos Lanthimos, Best Adapted Screenplay for Tony McNamara, Original Vision and Best Ensemble Acting.

Celine Song’s Past Lives was named film of the year by the Dublin Film Critics Circle, representing Ireland’s professional film critics. Song also won best director.

The Zone of Interest was honored as Best Picture of 2023 and Best Director for Jonathan Glazer at the Toronto Film Critics Association (TFCA) twenty seventh annual awards, recognizing excellence in film.

Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things was voted Best Film of 2023 by the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle at their seventh annual year-end awards. Poor Things also won for Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Script (Tony McNamara), and Best Actress (Emma Stone.)
