    Olive Films will present the US Theatrical release of ME, TOO, a film by Álvaro Pastor & Antonio Naharro.  Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at 2010 Sundance Film Festival, and Winner of Best Actor and Best Actress awards at 2009 San Sebastian International Film Festival,  as well as GOYA Best Actress Award, ME, TOO will open at Cinema Village in New York on November 19, and at Sunset 5 in Los Angeles on November 26.

  • Academy Announces Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship Finalists for 2010

    Ten writers have been selected as finalists for the 25th annual Don and Gee Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Their scripts will now be read and judged by the Academy’s Nicholl Committee, which may award as many as five of the prestigious $30,000 fellowships.

  • Screen Actors Guild Announces Results of 2010 National Board Elections

    Screen Actors Guild today announced elections results for the Guild’s National Board of Directors. Twenty-seven (27) of the 69 National Board seats were open for election this year, representing Screen Actors Guild’s Hollywood, New York and Regional Branch Divisions. The newly elected National Board members will assume office on September 25. SAG’s Hollywood Division elected thirteen new National Board members; the New York Division elected five members; and nine National Board members were elected from the union’s Branches in Arizona, Chicago, Florida, Georgia, Houston, New Mexico, San Francisco, Seattle and Utah.

    SCAD Savannah Film Festival
    “Night Catches Us,” a feature film starring Anthony Mackie of “The Hurt Locker,” is about one man in 1976 dealing with the aftermath of the black power movement.
