51 films will compete for the Heart of Sarajevo awards at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival taking place from August 12th to 19th, 2022. The Festival’s four competition sections – for feature, documentary, short and student film – will feature 21 world, 7 international, 1 European, 21 regional and 1 B&H premiere.
For its 75th Anniversary edition, Edinburgh International Film Festival announced the program of 87 new feature films structured across 3 Galas, 5 themed strands, 1 Big Screen Presentation and 10 films in competition as part of the new The Powell & Pressburger Award for Best Feature Film. Swedish director Ruben Östlund will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival and his latest film Triangle of Sadness, winner of the Palme d’Or at the Cannes festival, will open the festival.
