Netflix released the official trailer for The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes, a new documentary exploring the mystery surrounding the death of movie icon Marilyn Monroe through previously unheard interviews with her inner circle. Directed by Emma Cooper, the documentary premieres on Netflix on April 27th, 2022.

Warner Bros. Pictures will release NAVALNY, the documentary about Alexey Navalny, the Russian dissident and presidential candidate who was the target of a 2020 assassination attempt. The documentary premiered to critical and audience acclaim at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival and won both the Audience Award in the U.S. Documentary competition, and the Festival Favorite Award.

The 48th Seattle International Film Festival, will be held April 14-24, 2022, screening 262 films representing 80 countries, including 107 narrative features, 41 documentaries, three archival films, two works-in-progress, and 107 short films.

The 65th annual San Francisco International Film Festival will make its return to theaters in person, featuring more than 130 films from 56 countries, including 16 World and 10 North American premieres. The Festival will also celebrate cinematic icon Michelle Yeoh with a special tribute to be presented by critically acclaimed actor Sandra Oh. The 2022 Festival will run April 21–May 1.
