The Chicago Indie Critics announced the winners of their sixth annual film awards and after leading the field with nine nominations, The Power of the Dog emerged as the top winner with three CIC awards. The Netflix western drama won for Best Studio film and earned three trophies for Jane Campion, one as a producer of the film and the other two for her direction and adaptation of Thomas Savage’s novel.
The Beaufort Film Society announced the Official Selections for the 2022 Beaufort International Film Festival (BIFF), which takes place Feb. 22-27, 2022 in Beaufort, S.C. The 2022 edition will feature 10 World Premieres and an additional 42 films that will make their South Carolina debuts.

Dance Films Association and Film at Lincoln Center announced today the complete lineup for the 50th edition of the Dance on Camera Festival, running February 11-14, 2022. The 50th Dance on Camera Festival will be presented in person at the Walter Reade Theater at Film at Lincoln Center, marking the festival’s return to fully in-person programming. The longest-running dance film festival in the world received submissions from more than 37 countries, and it will feature nine ticketed programs and over 32 films during the four-day festival.

International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) revealed the 14 films selected for the festival’s Tiger Competition, as well as the Big Screen Competition and Ammodo Tiger Short Competition selections. The festival also announced the IFFR 2022 Selection available to audiences in the Netherlands on IFFR.com from January 26 to February 6, 2022.
