Unsettled: Seeking Refuge in America, a documentary directed by Tom Shepard reveals the untold stories of LGBTQ refugees and asylum-seekers. Unsettled had its World Premiere at the San Francisco International Film Festival and is the winner of the Best Documentary Feature Film at 2019 Outfest (playing at 55 festivals worldwide and winning 14 other top awards). Unsettled will lead Doc World’s new season which broadcasts on public media’s WORLD Channel on June 28 and will be available for streaming on WorldChannel.org through July 12.

The documentary Ask No Questions, that premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival 2020 released the new trailer ahead of its release on VOD on June 30th. Directed by Jason Loftus and Eric Pedicelli, Ask No Questions is described as an expose on the dark side of the Chinese government.

SXSW unveiled their new collaboration, SXSW 2020 Virtual Cinema on Oculus TV set to globally launch on May 22, 2020. This event will present seven 360 projects that were entered into the SXSW Virtual Cinema Competition, prior to its cancellation by the City of Austin due to concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic. Each of these works showcases how virtual reality can take users to places they can’t go and experience stories alongside the storytellers, in a time when so many people are isolated or socially distancing. Participating projects will be available on Oculus TV from May 22-31, 2020.
