Hollyshorts Film Festival Reschedules 16th Edition

The organizers behind the Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival have announced that they will be moving online and rescheduling their 16th annual year. Due to COVID-19, HollyShorts will now take place virtually between November 9-15, 2020 on the new streaming platform Bitpix.

Cine Las Americas Virtual Showcase Premieres Today

Mar De Dentro (The Sea Within) by Dainara Toffoli Cine Las Americas CLA2020 Virtual Showcase premieres this weekend, July 16-19, with a consecutive showcase July 23-26. The virtual event will present 49 films hailing from 12 different countries and will feature the work of over 30 female directors, Indigenous, POC, and LGBTQ+ filmmakers.

Sundance Institute and Adobe announced the class of 2020 Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellows, chosen from a global pool of more than 1,600 applicants. The ten emerging fellows hail from a broad geography, from Nashville to Hong Kong, and are rooted in a diverse array of creative disciplines from documentary filmmaking to narrative shorts. The selected fellows will be mentored and supported by the Sundance Institute and Sundance Ignite founding partner Adobe.
