
Knives Out, the star-studded whodunit from director Rian Johnson and Come As You Are Richard Wong’s reimagining of the classic buddy road trip comedy tied to win the coveted Audience Award at the 28th Philadelphia Film Festival.

Zeitgeist Films and Kino Lorber will release Alison Reid’s acclaimed documentary The Woman Who Loves Giraffes in the U.S., with the film opening January 10, 2020 at Quad Cinema in New York and February 21 at Laemmle Theatres in Los Angeles, with subsequent engagements nationwide.

The NDR Film Prize of the 61st Lübeck Nordic Film Days (Nordische Filmtage Lübeck), endowed with € 12,500, went to an Icelandic film, “A White, White Day” (“Hvítur, hvítur dagur”), directed by Hlynur Pálmason, with lead actor Ingvar E. Sigurðsson in attendance to accept the award. The distributor Arsenal will release the film theatrically in German beginning February 13, 2020.

An Official Selection of Sundance Film Festival, Hot Docs, and Frameline the film opens in NY on December 6 at Quad Cinema and Los Angeles on December 13 at LAEMMLE Monica.

The new trailer premiered today for Kim Longinotto’s Shooting The Mafia which opens in theaters on November 22 via Cohen Media Group.

Letter to the Editor, the latest film from acclaimed documentarian and Emmy winner Alan Berliner (Wide Awake, First Cousin Once Removed) will have its New York Premiere at DOC NYC 2019. The documentary film which also featured at the Toronto International Film Festival and IDFA, will debut on HBO on December 4.
