ALWAYS IN SEASON Directed by Jacqueline Olive With support from Sundance Institute’s Creative Distribution Fellowship, Tell It Media, Multitude Films and Fourth Act will distribute Jacqueline Olive’s award winning documentary Always in Season, winner of a Special Jury Prize for Moral Urgency at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. The documentary film will open in New York City on Friday, September 20th at The Metrograph, followed by runs in Los Angeles and select American Multi-Cinema Inc (AMC) theaters across the country. The broadcast premiere will air and stream on Independent Lens on PBS Winter 2020.

Locarno Film Festival 2019 Winners – VITALINA VARELA Wins Pardo d’oro
VITALINA VARELA The 72nd edition of the Locarno Film Festival closed with the award ceremony, and VITALINA VARELA by Pedro Costa was awarded the top prize, the Pardo d’oro (Golden Leopard), Grand Prize of the City of Locarno. The film follows Vitalina Varela, a 55-year-old woman from Cape Verde, who arrives in Lisbon three days after her husband’s funeral. She’s been waiting for her plane ticket for more than 25 years. For her performance Vitalina Varela was awarded the Leopard for Best Actress.
