A new documentary on EGOT-winning entertainer Rita Moreno, AMERICAN MASTERS “Rita Moreno: The Girl Who Decided to Go For It” is in the works from Norman Lear’s Act III Productions and executive producer Lin-Manuel Miranda, and is slated to premiere in 2020 on the PBS series AMERICAN MASTERS.

Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman will make its World Premiere as the Opening Night film of the 57th New York Film Festival (September 27 – October 13), at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 27, 2019. The Irishman will be released in select theaters and on Netflix later this year.

Mexican director, producer and screenwriter Alejandro G. Iñárritu and winner of two consecutive Best Director Oscar awards for his films THE REVENANT and BIRDMAN will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at the 25th annual Sarajevo Film Festival. The Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award will be given in recognition for his exceptional contribution to the art of film.

The 34th Venice International Film Critics’ Week (SIC) which runs August 28th to September 7th, 2019, is an independent and parallel section organized by the National Union of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI) during the 76th Venice International Film Festival.
