Neon debuted the official trailer for A Chiara, the Italian coming-of-age drama starring Swamy Rotolo, Claudio Rotolo, Grecia Rotolo, and Carmela Fumo that world premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. The film went on to screen at multiple prestigious film festivals including its North American premiere at the 2021 New York Film Festival and the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
Beanie Feldstein, Regina Hall and Naomi Watts announced the nominations for the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Zola lead the field with 7 nominations including Best Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Female Lead and Best Supporting Male. The Novice scored 5 nominations including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Female Lead and Best Supporting Female.
The prizes of the 17th Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) were presented during the Award Night with the Golden Eye prizes going to The Fam (La Mif) by Fred Baillif in Focus Competition, A Chiara by Jonas Carpignano won the Golden Eye for Best Feature Film, and Life Of Ivanna by Renato Borrayo Serrano won the Golden Eye for Best Documentary Film. The ZFF Children’s Jury presented the Little Golden Eye to The Wolf and the Lion (Le loup et le lion).
